About
I live and work in downtown Vancouver. Currently in my early thirties, happily married, one dog and no kids. We’re renting a condo that’s very close to the Sea Wall. I’ve been working as a software programmer for 10 years, and graduated from SFU with a BSc in Computing Science.
I’ve been managing our finances since 1999. My financial philosophy is to minimize costs and maximize risk-adjusted returns. My number one pet peeve is fat middlemen who offer little or even negative values. Dividend investing is my vehicle of choice, so you’ll see me rave about this investment strategy frequently. My long-term goal is to live off a large nest egg of dividend paying stocks.
I see my financial outlook as an evolution. New insights and experiences will always reshape my own philosophies. I think writing a financial blog will help crystallize and organize my thoughts into logical blocks. I’m fascinated and intrigued by personal finances. To me, researching and writing about personal finance is fun, and doesn’t constitute as work at all. I hope you will enjoy reading my articles here. Feedbacks and constructive criticisms are always welcome.
